Alleged Coordinator of Foiled Murder Plot Charged in Sydney – Contract Killing Scheme Uncovered

Contract killing : Detectives have charged a notorious underworld figure in connection with an alleged contract killing after discovering what they believe to be a murder plot from December last year.

NSW Police uncovered the purported scheme targeting a 30-year-old man residing in Sydney’s CBD in December 2023.

Five individuals have already been charged in connection with the alleged plot, and today, at 7:35 am, police arrested 32-year-old Omar Haouchar during a vehicle stop in Miranda, located in Sydney’s south.

Detective Superintendent Peter Faux stated that the 32-year-old was deeply involved in the plot.

“We allege that these five men were conducting surveillance on the intended victim, studying their routine… some of them were allegedly going to carry out the shooting,” Faux explained.

“We also allege that the man arrested today was one of the main coordinators of the attempted murder plot and was responsible for organizing a part of the contract.”

He also claimed that the group had secured a contract to carry out the murder.

Following the vehicle stop, several items were seized during a search of the man’s home in the Sutherland Shire.

He was arrested and taken to Sutherland Police Station, where he was charged with conspiracy and conspiring to murder someone.

Bail was denied, and he is set to appear in Sutherland Local Court today.
