NSW cop double murder case : Crucial phone records that may reveal the movements of a former police officer accused of killing his ex-partner and her new boyfriend are being pursued by his defence team.
Beaumont Lamarre-Condon faces two murder charges after the bodies of Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies, 29, and TV presenter Jesse Baird, 26, were discovered in February.
The 29-year-old’s Legal Aid lawyer, Alex Curnick, informed Downing Centre Local Court today that she is requesting Cellebrite reports from her client’s phone—a reference to the software used by police to extract mobile phone data.
Data extracted by police using Cellebrite technology includes location details, internet browsing history, text messages, and call logs.
The bodies of the two men were discovered on February 27, concealed inside surfboard bags along the fence line of a rural property in Bungonia, near Goulburn, approximately 200km south-west of Sydney.
Lamarre-Condon is accused of using his service weapon to fatally shoot the men at Baird’s inner-city residence before attempting to dispose of their bodies.
Crucial Phone Records Pursued in NSW Cop’s Double Murder Case
The court was informed that police did not object to providing Lamarre-Condon’s phone records. However, there were ongoing concerns about disclosing records connected to several other individuals involved in the case.
“At the very least, I’m hoping the Cellebrite data from the accused’s phones can be served on us in the meantime,” Curnick stated.

Magistrate Greg Grogin emphasized that the documents should be presented to the court to determine what could be disclosed.
“Documentation should be provided to the court and not withheld,” he stated.
“Let’s get some documents produced for the defendant as they become available. Let’s get this matter moving.”

The former senior constable is charged with two counts of domestic violence-related murder and one count of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offense.
Police allege the attack was premeditated following a months-long campaign of “predatory behavior” targeting Baird, whom Lamarre-Condon briefly dated before the TV presenter began a relationship with Davies.
Suspicion arose when items belonging to the two men were discovered in a skip bin in Cronulla, a southern Sydney suburb, which led police to Baird’s blood-stained share house in Paddington.
Lamarre-Condon was dismissed from the NSW Police Force in mid-March.
He had joined the force in 2019 and previously operated a celebrity blog, appearing in photos alongside numerous A-listers, including Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Harry Styles.
The case is scheduled to return to court on February 28.
