Domino’s new pizza creation: Domino’s Unveils Bold New Release: Meat Pie Stuffed Crust Pizza
In a daring move, Domino’s has launched one of its most adventurous creations yet — a meat pie stuffed crust.
Yes, it’s exactly what you imagine. Instead of the usual rolled crust, the pizza dough is wrapped around a mini meat pie, offering a savory surprise once you reach the slice’s edge.
This limited-edition offering is a collaboration with Four’N Twenty, uniting two of Australia’s most beloved comfort foods into one bold dish.
Our team had the chance to try the new release firsthand. While some preferred to keep their pies and pizzas separate, others were genuinely impressed by the innovation.
This would be a hit at a kids’ party,” one person commented.
As someone who usually avoids the heavy crusts of budget pizzas, I was pleasantly surprised by the extra treat (and extra toppings) tucked into the crust.
Not everyone was convinced, though.
I’ve never once craved a meat pie while eating pizza,” said one baffled taster, still puzzled after finishing their slice.
The mixed reactions sparked a fun thought — what other unconventional creations has Domino’s experimented with over the years?
We took a trip down memory lane to revisit some of Domino’s wildest and most unforgettable innovations…
Cheesy Vegemite
One of our team members didn’t hold back when describing the Vegemite crust — calling it “absolute GOD TIER food.
It was a staple back when I was at uni, so it’s been at least a decade… but I still think about it,” they said with a nostalgic smile.
After all, you really can’t go wrong with the classic Vegemite and cheese combo — and the person who thought to bring that flavor to a pizza? Pure genius.
BBQ Burst
Now this one’s a true blast from the past.
The BBQ Burst marked Domino’s very first step into the world of bold and unconventional crusts.
What might seem simple now — a tangy BBQ sauce sealed into the base — was actually groundbreaking back in 2005, sparking a nationwide frenzy of orders across Domino’s stores.
Puff-ection
Originally launched in 2006, this crust has made several triumphant comebacks — and for good reason. Fans just can’t seem to get enough.
One team member even hailed Domino’s puff pastry crust as “the best thing they ever did.
Imagine a perfectly crisp pizza base with light, flaky, golden pastry waiting to be devoured at the edge of every slice.
Cheesy Crust
As one team member put it perfectly, “nothing beats a good cheesy crust.”
It’s the only option on our list that’s still available at Domino’s — and it’s easy to see why.
The cheesy crust has stood the test of time, earning its place as a fan favourite thanks to one simple reason: “it’s like a bonus treat waiting for you at the end of every slice.
Double Decadence
This crust was made for those who appreciate a touch of indulgence.
The Double Decadence crust made its much-anticipated return in June 2024, much to the delight of loyal fans.
With a rich layer of gooey cheddar and parmesan nestled between two thin, crispy bases, it was a dream come true for cheese lovers everywhere.
