Boost Juice worker viral video : A small gesture of kindness by a Melbourne Boost Juice worker has unexpectedly sparked a heated debate.
Not everyone, it seems, appreciates the offer of a free sample.
The young employee learned this the hard way when she attempted to hand out complimentary drinks to shoppers lined up outside a jewellery pop-up store in Melbourne.
Boost Juice Worker’s Kind Gesture Sparks Unexpected Controversy
The Jaz Hand Made event in South Yarra, situated near the Boost Juice Como store, drew considerable attention from locals.
Founded by influencer Jasmine Hand, the jewellery brand was hosting its very first pop-up shop — a milestone moment for the Australian business.
With the scorching weather and long queues outside, staff at Boost Juice decided to lend a helping hand by offering shoppers a refreshing treat to make the wait a bit more pleasant.
But as one young employee approached the crowd with a tray full of smoothies, she quickly discovered that even kind gestures don’t always receive the warmest response.
Amid a few polite but unenthusiastic “thanks,” came one unexpected reaction that caught her off guard.
In a TikTok video shared by the business, the worker can be seen standing across the street with a long line of eager customers behind her.
Hey guys, today we’re outside the Jaz Handmade pop-up giving away some free Mango Magics!” she cheerfully begins in the clip.

In the following clips, she can be seen walking along the queue, cheerfully offering samples to those waiting in line.
She engages politely, asking how long they’ve been waiting and what they’re most excited to see inside the store.
Unfortunately, her bright and enthusiastic energy wasn’t fully reciprocated by the crowd.
While several people happily accepted the free drinks, others appeared noticeably dismissive — some even responding with unnecessary rudeness or giving her cold, judgmental glances.
Not Everyone Appreciates a Kind Offer
The video’s comment section quickly lit up with viewers calling out the rude behaviour.
Did she ask for their firstborn or something?” one person joked.
Another added, “Some people are so rude — I’d be thrilled to get a free Boost!
A third chimed in, “It doesn’t cost anything to just be nice, LOL.
Even Boost Juice’s official national account weighed in, defending the employee with the comment: “My sweetums didn’t deserve that hate.
The incident has since sparked a broader discussion online about how far society has drifted from simple kindness and community spirit.
TikTok creator Paris Clarke, posting under @melbournegalpaz, shared her thoughts, calling it “reason 500” why she’s frustrated with Gen Z and urging people to “be mindful” and treat others with respect.
I love that they posted this,” she explained. “You always see influencers getting called out for being rude, but this time it’s just regular people acting the same way.
Clarke highlighted how the young worker was being openly stared down, asking, “Is this what the world’s come to?
Why are people so rude? It was like watching an in-real-life burner account.
She added that she’d be mortified to be caught on camera behaving that way — and praised the Boost employee for keeping her composure and positivity despite the negativity around her.
Social Media Reacts to the Awkward Encounter
To the girl handing out the drinks — honestly, huge praise to you. You did such an amazing job,” Ms Clarke said.
The Boost Como store’s own account echoed the supportive sentiment, with comments like:The sweetest Boost Juice worker ever!
You’re a queen! As a former Boostie, I love this — your energy is incredible!
