Travis Kelce Taylor Swift Wood song : NFL star Travis Kelce squirmed as his brother Jason Kelce playfully grilled him about Taylor Swift’s new explicit song, which many fans believe hints at his “manhood.
When asked how he felt about his fiancée writing such a raunchy track, Travis tried to stay coy.
‘Wood’ — great, great soundtrack,” Jason joked while discussing Taylor’s 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, during Wednesday’s episode of their podcast New Heights.
The teasing sent Travis into a fit of laughter as he agreed, saying, “It’s a great song.
Jason pressed further with a grin, asking, “Do you feel — not confident — do you feel cocky about the song ‘Wood’?
Laughing it off, Travis replied, “No. Any song that she references me in is… I love that girl, what do you mean? Any song where she mentions me at all, I’m honored.

He paused mid-sentence as Jason, 37, jumped in to point out that the track wasn’t just about Travis — but seemingly about his “appendage.
Travis quickly denied the claim, exclaiming, “What? No way! I think you’re totally misinterpreting the song.
But Jason wouldn’t let it go, teasing his younger brother by quoting the lyrics, “Redwood tree / Ain’t hard to see.

I thought redwood was a pretty… generous word,” Jason joked. “If someone wrote a song about me, it would probably go, ‘Japanese maple / sometimes can see.’” His comment had everyone in the studio bursting into laughter.
In her latest album, Taylor Swift dives into her most playful and provocative era yet with a track titled “Wood,” which appears to detail her and Travis Kelce’s intimate relationship.
In the song, she boldly sings,
Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He (ah!)matised me / And opened my eyes / Redwood tree / It ain’t hard to see / His love was the key / That opened my thighs.”
She continues with more risqué lyrics:
“Girls, I don’t need to catch the bouquet / To know a hard rock is on the way / […] / The curse on me was broken by your magic wand,” even going so far as to reference Travis’ “New Heights of manhood.
Despite the unmistakable innuendos, Swift later downplayed the meaning during The Official Release Party of a Showgirl movie, insisting the song is simply about superstitions.

During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Taylor later explained that the song was originally inspired by simple “superstitions” — like the idea of knocking on wood.
“It really started from such an innocent place,” the 35-year-old pop icon shared on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show. “I don’t know what happened, man,” she laughed.
She went on to say that once she “got in there” and “started vibing,” the song took on a life of its own.
I have no idea how we ended up here,” she joked, “but I love the song so much. The spice level on this album is definitely high.
Jason and Travis opened Wednesday’s latest podcast episode by applauding Swift for once again “[doing] it again.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end praised Taylor, saying, “Hats off to Taylor — she’s done it again. She’s got the whole world talking, and it’s been incredible watching everyone’s reactions. We’ve had a blast following her press tour, radio appearances, and all the talk shows coming up this week that’ll air after this recording.

He went on to rave about the Fate of Ophelia singer, saying she “looked amazing, sounded amazing, and this album is absolutely incredible.
Travis added that he listened to The Life of a Showgirl “wholeheartedly because it’s her creation, and you want to appreciate it for what it truly is.
I think the best part is being in the room with someone and being open to what they’re creating. But yes, it was so much fun hearing all of these songs come together, especially knowing that some of them — as she’s mentioned — are about our life together,” he shared.
I’m just the lucky guy who gets to be her support system while she releases the coolest album I’ve ever heard. I’m excited, I’m happy for her, everything seems to have gone perfectly — and you get to see it all from start to finish,” he said, adding, “I’m just over the moon because she’s happy, she’s proud of this work, and I’m proud of her for jumping through all the hoops to make her dreams come true.
The podcast co-host also noted that Actually Romantic — which many Swifties believe is about Charli XCX — is a song he can’t stop playing.
Back in August, when Swift announced her 12th studio album on the New Heights podcast, Kelce revealed that Opalite was his favorite track.
In addition to Opalite and Wood, the singer also wrote Wish List, The Life of Ophelia, and Honey with the NFL star in mind.
