Jock Zonfrillo daughter : The daughter of the late MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo has shared a major update about her future, two and a half years after his sudden passing.

The late MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo’s daughter, Ava Zonfrillo, has followed in her father’s footsteps by moving to the UK — a place deeply connected to his memory.

Now 24, Ava relocated to London 18 months ago with her British boyfriend, fulfilling her long-held dream of living overseas.

In an interview with Woman’s Day, the public relations professional shared that her father would have been proud of her decision.

I always knew I’d live abroad someday, and he knew it too — he would’ve been fully supportive,” she said, adding, “Living abroad is incredible; people here are so open and friendly.

Ava Zonfrillo Shares Life Update Two Years After Father Jock Zonfrillo’s Passing

The Scottish-born celebrity chef passed away suddenly at a Melbourne hotel in April 2023.

He rose to fame as the host of several television shows and secured the prestigious role on MasterChef Australia in 2019.

Between 2017 and 2020, his acclaimed Adelaide restaurant, Orana, earned multiple awards before entering voluntary administration.

Speaking to Woman’s Day, Ms. Zonfrillo shared that she had traveled to Italy and Scotland with her father before his death — and felt his presence everywhere she went.

Remembering the Legacy of Jock Zonfrillo

Going back felt like he was right there with me — it was incredibly comforting,” she said.

The 24-year-old shared that her father’s Scottish heritage meant a great deal to him and was something he kept alive in their lives beyond just food. Still, she added, food was always the heart of their family’s bond.

“Most of our big family conversations happened in or around the kitchen. It was where we’d naturally gather whenever Dad was home,” she said.

Honoring His Memory Through Travel

He always cooked the dishes we loved, and most of the time, we were either helping him or just watching in awe,” she recalled.

I remember Dad teaching me knife skills on several occasions — those moments really stayed with me.

She also admitted that coping with her father’s very public passing had been difficult, but giving herself the time and space to slow down has helped her heal.
